EX KCS 653 now has the floor in and is painted inside. Here the control stand is being worked on.
EX KCS 653 is undergoing extensive body work while waiting for the generator to be rebuilt. This unit will be started up as soon as the generator comes back.
Working on a set of dummy wheels to put under 653 since all the traction motors have been removed for repair. This project is progressing well.
The floor has been removed and is now waiting to have some abestos removed underneath. Once that job is complete a new floor will be put in. The engine is waiting for some new parts to come in. ... (more)
Ex KCS 653 is well on its way of being rebuilt by MMA. It took a wide angle lens to get most of the unit except the very front fits out the door so the door can not be closed.
There is no where else for this Ex KCS unit to go. The track has ended and it just barely fits through the opening leading to the blacksmith shop.
